for a casual welcome dinner at our favorite pizza spot on the water

Enjoy a day on beautiful Whidbey Island or head back to Seattle for
Seafair festivities
Where to Stay
CAPTAIN WHIDBEY
We have held a small block of rooms on both Thursday and Friday
at the Captain Whidbey, a nostalgic inn on the shores of Penn Cove, Whidbey Island. With a subtle Scandinavian influence,
each room features a King bed + daybed, artist furnishings,
and is waterfront on the serene lagoon.
The Captain Whidbey is a historic and special place.
WE ALSO RECOMMEND...
The Inn at Langley is close to the venue and directly on the water.
We do not have a room block,
but reservations can be made here.
Whidbey Island is also a popular vacation destination with many
AirBnb and VRBO options. We recommend booking early,
as the summer season can fill up fast.

We've got answers
When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online? Thank you in advance for RSVPing before June 15th, 2024. Please click RSVP to confirm your attendance and answer a few questions.
Should we stay on Whidbey Island? Where? Accommodation information can be found on our lodging page.
Are kids welcome/can I bring a plus-one? Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to maintain the intimate personal nature of our August 2nd ceremony and let’s be real, to stay on budget. We will only be able to accommodate those guests explicitly listed on your wedding invitation for the August 2nd event. Thank you for understanding. Anyone can come to the party on Sunday August 4th!
Is transportation provided? For guests staying at the Captain Whidbey, transportation will be provided to and from the venue. There is parking at the venue for anyone not staying at the Captain Whidbey.
What should I wear? Is there a dress code? We’ve landed on “summer semi-formal” for the Friday dinner. The island tends to be cooler than the mainland, but it’s summer and the venue is outdoors (careful wearing heels!), weather permitting. Last year the high on this day was 75 and the low was 55. Check out the "vibes" page for inspo.
